I always travel with doodling supplies
and usually bring tea stained, rusted and/or indigo dipped paper
to meditatively map while savoring - in this case,
the sweet aroma of fresh orange blossoms
and indulging in the warmth of Arizona spring weather.
The sinuous lines of our frozen lake snapped from the plane
inspired the bracket-shaped sanctuary
that I doodled after my return.
Accidentally or sychronistically,
I think that they make an interesting pair.
